Hire from inside Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor

Connect Tapflow to the assistant you already use. Describe the role in your own words; your assistant creates it, shows you the price, starts the search when you say yes, and works the shortlist with you.

What you can do from your assistant

Create a role

Paste a job description; Tapflow reads it into a role and an ideal profile you can correct in plain words.

See the price, then start

Your assistant reads the exact price before anything is charged and asks you before it starts the search.

Follow the search

Ask how it is going at any time: people read, shortlisted, and anything that needs your answer.

Work the shortlist

Read the shortlist with the reasons each person fits, move people forward or pass on them.

Deep-dive a person

A full read of one person against the role's requirements, with evidence for every claim.

Find emails

Look up a personal email for the people you want to contact, only when you ask for it.

Things to ask

  • “Here's the job description for our senior data engineer — set up the role in Tapflow and tell me what it would cost to find 10 people.”
  • “How is the search for the product designer role going?”
  • “Show me the top five on the shortlist and why each one fits.”
  • “Deep-dive Maria and tell me if she really led a platform migration.”
  • “Find emails for the three people I liked.”

Two-minute setup

Pick your assistant. ChatGPT and Claude.ai connect by signing in to your Tapflow account; the others take an API key.

Connect your AI assistant

Work with Tapflow from Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client: create roles, start searches, read the shortlist. Same keys, scopes and prices as the API.

ChatGPT and Claude.ai: sign in, no key

Add https://www.tapflowai.com/mcp as a connector (ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Create, authentication OAuth; Claude.ai: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector), then sign in to Tapflow and approve. Each teammate connects with their own account.

Paste into: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
https://www.tapflowai.com/mcp

Paste the address, then sign in with your Tapflow account when asked.

  3. Sign in with your Tapflow account and allow access.
  4. Turn Tapflow on in a chat's tools menu and ask about your roles.

Claude Code

Address + key
  1. Run the command in a terminal, with your API key in place of the placeholder.
  2. Start claude and ask it to list your Tapflow roles.

  2. Add the tapflow entry with your API key and refresh the server list.

Other assistants

Address + key
  1. Add a Streamable HTTP server with this address and an Authorization header carrying your API key.
  2. Or point it at https://www.tapflowai.com/mcp/demo with no header to try the read-only demo.

Try it before you pay

Keyless demo

Add https://www.tapflowai.com/mcp/demo with no key and your assistant can read sample roles, a sample shortlist and the guide. Nothing is saved and nothing is charged.

Sandbox key

Create a tap_test_ key in Settings → API. Every tool answers from fixed sample data: create roles, approve, move people, with no credits used and nothing written.

Live key

A tap_live_ key works on your real roles, with the same scopes, prices and request log as the API.

Call the demo from this page

This sends the same request an assistant sends when you ask “what roles do I have?” — tapflow_list_roles, with no key.

What it costs

Connecting is free. A search your assistant starts is an API start, so it costs half the app's price for the same search — for example, a shortlist place on a typical role is $2.50 instead of $5. Reading roles and the shortlist, Deep-dives and email lookups are free.

Questions

Which assistants work?

Any assistant that speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP: Claude (web, Desktop and Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and others. One-click install links exist for Cursor and VS Code.

Can my assistant spend money without asking?

No. Starting a search is the only paid step, and the tool requires an explicit confirmation after the price has been shown. Assistants are told to ask you first.

Do ChatGPT and Claude.ai reach my own roles?

Yes. Paste the address, sign in with your Tapflow account and allow access.

What does the assistant see about candidates?

The same people your role shows in the app, through the same permissions as your API key. Profile text is handed over as data, never as instructions.
